How does one examine a Hull ID Amount?
The Hull Identification Range (HIN) is really a 12- or 14-character serial variety that uniquely identifies a ship. The HIN is analogous to a VIN on an automobile.
The 1st three digits would be the Producer’s Identification Code (ex. Boat brand name for instance Sea Ray, Meridian, etcetera.). The four digits following that are the manufacturer’s serial quantity for your boat. The 3rd and 4th digits in the stop are classified as the date of manufacture. The letter within the date of the manufacture corresponds towards the thirty day period of your calendar year, i.e. A = January, B = February, C = March and so on.
